I'm wearing these all the time. So classic. Took a while to break in the front of the boot, but I did this by starting with the zipper up only partway, and then as leather wore in, raising it a bit higher until it reached the full zip.

Oh wow. I simply cannot wait to wear these beauties! Very comfortable to walk in, and simply lovely---but wait! They are definitely going to need some break-in time. Hurts a bit across the front of my leg where the top hits, so I walked around in them today with the zipper halfway down for comfort. A couple of YouTube videos convinced me this is a common problem with new ankle boots, and gave excellent suggestions for breaking in. Advice is to purchase boots of excellent leather (which these are), condition right away with good leather conditioner, pay attention to bend spots (ankle and toe areas) which is where break-in is needed. Good tips. Check these videos out. By the way, I really like the toe shape of these boots. Somewhere between a pointed toe and an almond toe shape, very attractive!

I normally wear a 6.5, so I ordered the 6.5/7. They are very tight across the toes, which is an unusual problem for me. I returned them today and ordered the 7.5/8, and I love the style so I really hope they work.

I really wanted to love these Pikolinos boots - they are great looking and have a perfect heel height for work or going out. Unfortunately, the toe bed is somewhat narrow and short for my slightly wide foot. And the width of the shaft at the ankle is actually strangely wide so made my own ankles look super skinny. Sending them back.
